Our Process
Free Consultation

All of our cabinet painting and cabinet refinishing projects start with a free consultation. You can send us pictures of your cabinets, tell us about the colours, stains, and varnishes you’re interested in, and go over any problems you may be having with your cabinets. With this information in hand, we’ll give you advice on whether you should repaint your cabinets or refinish them; we can also give you an estimate of the total cost to paint or refinish your cabinets.
Prepping Your Cabinets

We remove your cabinet doors to make it easier to work; we’ll also prep the area, protecting other surfaces from paint. Whether we’re painting or refinishing, we’ll need to sand your cabinets. When painting, the sanding is rather light, and when refinishing, there’s usually a lot of sanding to do. We use specialized equipment to keep sawdust from gathering in the air.
Painting or Refinishing Your Cabinets

When refinishing, we’ll apply wood stain or sealant once the sanding process is complete to protect the wood. We can then apply varnish or paint to achieve the colour you’re looking for. When painting, once the cabinet doors are sufficiently spot-sanded and cleaned, we can simply apply the new coat of paint.
Adding Hardware

After a cabinet is refinished or repainted, it’s common to change the hardware on the cabinet. Once everything is dry, we can change the hardware for you; alternatively, we can polish your existing hardware if you’re happy with it.
Cleaning Up

Paint, stain, varnish, sawdust, and more—all of it can leave a pretty big mess. In the prep step, we may lay down plastic sheets or tarps to protect your floor and use tape to protect your other surfaces. Once the work is done, we clean everything up, remove the tape and plastic or tarp, and clean any paint, sawdust, or other contaminants. All you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy your beautifully refreshed cabinetry!
Benefits Of Refinishing Or Repainting
Cabinet refacing projects are the perfect way to refresh your kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, office—or just about any other room you might find cabinets in! There are several benefits of refinishing or repainting your cabinets:
Paint acts as a protective layer, preventing wood and other materials from degrading as quickly from exposure to moisture, sun, and other elements. Want your existing cabinetry to last as long as possible? Consider refinishing or repainting.
You can hire us for kitchen cabinet refinishing, but that’s not all; we offer cabinet refinishing for all of your existing cabinets. There’s more than one way to refinish a cabinet, too, and with our massive selection of paints, stains, varnishes, hardware, and more, we’ll be able to finish your cabinets in almost any way you’d like.
Whether you’re painting or refinishing, the process is more affordable than buying new cabinets from scratch. We’ve refinished a lot of cabinets; a lot of them just needed a little TLC to look as good as new. The process transforms the entire room, too—and that’s a lot less expensive than a whole kitchen renovation!
Cabinet refinishing can offer a great return on investment; our refinishing services are affordable, so you can transform your home without paying out of pocket for new cabinets.
