Cabinet Refacing Winnipeg
When your old cabinet doors and drawer fronts are looking drab or are damaged beyond the point of repair, you may not need to replace your cabinets; cabinet refacing may be the perfect option!
At True Millwork, we offer cabinet refacing in Winnipeg and the surrounding area. The refacing process involves replacing your old doors and drawer fronts with new ones; we’ll also replace the existing veneer on your cabinetry with new veneer to complement these new doors and drawer fronts.

Why Cabinet Refacing Is Right For You
Refreshing your cabinetry can transform the room your cabinets are in; it’s a lot more cost-effective than a full renovation, and you can do it without replacing your existing cabinetry.
Ideally, you can paint or refinish your cabinets, but when your cabinet doors are seriously damaged or defective, a simple refinish may not be an option. That’s when you can turn to cabinet refacing. In a cabinet refacing project, your existing cabinet doors are replaced with brand-new cabinet doors; these doors can last for decades, so you may never have to reface your cabinets again.
Here’s another reason to reface your cabinet—you don’t like your cabinet doors. There are all kinds of beautiful replacements for old doors—you can get glass doors, hardwood doors, or just about any other style of door you’d like. In a refacing project, you can also replace old hinges that you’re not fond of.
Our Cabinet Refacing Process
Whether you’re interested in refacing your kitchen cabinets or any other cabinets in your home or business, we can help. Here’s the basic process for all of our cabinet-refacing projects:
Free Consultation

During the free consultation, we establish whether cabinet refacing or cabinet refinishing is the right choice for you. We evaluate the quality of your existing doors, present you with a few options for new cabinet doors, and take the time to understand your needs and your aesthetics.
Concept Development

We prepare the area around your cabinets to ensure that clean-up is easier when the process is finished. We then remove all existing doors, drawer fronts, and hinges. We then clean your cabinets and inspect for any damage; we may need to repair damaged cabinetry before we continue
Sanding and Stripping

With our initial preparations completed, we remove old veneers or paint from the cabinet frames; we also sand the surface to help the new veneers adhere properly.
Applying the Veneers

With the cabinet front and sides adequately prepared, we apply the new veneers which we’ve carefully cut to perfectly fit your cabinetry.
Installing Your New Doors and Drawer Fronts

We install and align our custom doors and drawer fronts into your cabinetry.
Final Touches

We apply edge banding and hardware, seal the veneer, inspect your cabinets, and then clean them.
Clean Up

Installing new cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and veneers can make a bit of a mess. We clean everything up; all you have to do is sit back and enjoy your newly refaced cabinets!
