Whether we’re building a walk-in closet for your bedroom or a simple closet for your laundry room, our basic process remains the same. You and your needs are the focus—every other step of our process is informed by what will make your closet uniquely useful to you and your family.
Initial Consultation
You bring us your ideas—we bring them to life. This is one of the most important steps of the process; you’ll tell us about your lifestyle, the pain points with your current closet, and what you’d love to have in a custom closet. We’ll lend our expertise, telling you about the features we can include that make home storage, getting ready, and keeping your valuables safe that much easier. We’ll also get into the details of what your room looks like and your interior design goals—it’s a lot of fun!
Concept Development
Once we’ve got an in-depth understanding of what you’re looking for from a custom closet, we create detailed concepts. These concepts include sketches and notes, showing the different colours, types of hardware, and features we might incorporate into your new custom closet. You’ll tell us what works and what doesn’t, and we’ll hone in on the perfect design.
Adding Hardware
After a cabinet is refinished or repainted, it’s common to change the hardware on the cabinet. Once everything is dry, we can change the hardware for you; alternatively, we can polish your existing hardware if you’re happy with it.
Detailed Design and Approval
With the concepts we’ve developed in the previous step, we create a detailed, 3D design of the closet we think will work perfectly for your space and lifestyle. We also select different materials in this step and tell you how they’ll affect the design and price of your closet. Once you’re fully satisfied with the design, you approve it—and we start to build your custom closet!
Crafting and Quality Assurance
This is our favourite step—we’re artisans who love to work on our craft. We build your custom closet with exceptional care, going over every detail to ensure perfection. As we complete each part of your closet, we perform a quality assurance check—and once the closet is fully completed, we check each piece again to ensure that there’s not a single blemish.
